“The sky is the limit only for those who aren’t afraid to fly!” ― Bob Bello, Sci-Fi Almanac, 2010
While I am a scientist of this world and believe that we need to take care of this planet before moving to another…I love space exploration and the brainpower behind it! The Pacific Missile Range Facility is 3 miles from my house, and I have walked almost all of it doing research for the Navy on Nocturnal Seabirds. The ancient energy that resides on the land there is truly out of this world…traversing it in the early morning light was the most peaceful and enlightening way to start my day. The facility not only does things that look to the future, it does an exceptional job of caring for the land upon which it sits. Being that ancient Hawaiians traveled the oceans using the stars as a guide, I can only surmise that the reason the land still has the ancient feel is because they are still there watching the exploration of the stars.
The LDSD was something I was able to witness in person…you see my picture of the balloon I took from my house and below a photo taken from the NASA website.
Here is the link to more information on it. https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/tdm/ldsd/index.html
