Loneliness is never more cruel than when it is felt in close propinquity with someone who has ceased to communicate. —Germaine Greer
It is not a question of what more she can take;
she can’t.
She would rather be alone than continue to wait.
She has sought to express what desires lie deep;
unheard.
She would rather be alone than continue to weep.
She craves for the awareness of her love;
unfed.
She would rather be alone than continue corrupt.
She is fading into rot as she persists the stay;
she quits.
She would rather be alone than continue the way.

Thank you!
Thank you. “Alone living” I like that!!
Thank you for this. In the past women were stuck, unhappy and oppressed because it was believed a woman could not exist alone, now that we know that sometimes our own company is better than to be lonely in the company of others we can choose to alone, not alone waiting but alone living. I love this piece, simply beautiful
